How we sort the listings
The public rule used to sort listings on Atalaya Balear. Nobody pays for their position.
Every list follows the same rule, in this order:
- Atalaya Seal first. Listings with a valid seal come first. The seal’s criteria are public and the same for everyone.
- Verified listings. Listings whose official website we have checked come before those with official records only.
- Completeness. We count seven details: phone, website, email, opening hours, languages, services and WhatsApp. The more checked details, the higher the listing.
- Most recent check. If two listings are level, the one we checked most recently comes first.
- Alphabetical order as the final tie-break.
One exception, in plain sight. The listing of Teix Web Studio, the company that publishes Atalaya Balear, comes first in its category (web design and digital marketing) and is labelled ‘Publisher of Atalaya Balear’. No other company can pay for that place or any other.
There are no paid positions, no ads between listings and no reviews that push anyone up or down. If a professional wants to appear higher, the only way is a complete, checked listing, and that is free.
Owners can take a paid extended listing to show photos and more detail. It does not count towards the order: an extended listing sits in the lists exactly where it would without paying, and carries the ‘Extended listing’ label.
